Special General Meeting

• Due to circumstance beyond his control Ray has had to stand down as chairman so a special general meeting will be held in the Old Stand on 16/06/2008 to elect a new chairman

World Club Qualifiers

• World club team of 5 qualifiers takes place on the 19th and 20th of July we have entered a  team so if you feel up to fishing against the best in Ireland contact the sectary before 30th of June

April 2008 updates

• Club has been asked to support Shannon Fisheries board's "Introduce a Friend to Fishing" event being held at the Harbour in Mullingar on the 26/04/08
• Open day being held by Shannon Fisheries board at the Lough Owel angling centre, Club has been asked to provide information and details of the club. Chairman working with SHFB on this matter
• We are working with Waterways Ireland to organise an Open match on the canal for June this year. More details to follow later on
• New weighing scales have been purchase after old one was sent for repair and found to be un-repairable
• Club Clothing is on sale for 30euors per set limited number left so get your order early

National Teams of 4 Competition

Club is hosting a conference of club chairman to expanded the teams of 4 competition. Meeting will held held in the Lough Owel angling centre on Wednesday

2008 AGM

2008 AGM will be held on the 30th of January at 7:45PM upstairs in  the Old Stand Pub Mullingar. All members are asked to attend new members may also come on the night

Reminder to members 2008 subscriptions are due cost 20euros cash payable to the club treasurer

July Meeting

At the meeting we voted on the new club logo( Check home page for view of it) V- Chairman will now organise checking shirts, top and hats made up for club members with the new club logo. Review of upcoming matches and we talk about the teams of 4 which was to be held in September but which now looks to be a non-runner due to issue in other clubs. Chairman has made a open invitation to other clubs to fish 1 off matches against us through September and October More to follow on this

June Meeting

Meeting held to discuss location and dates for the next club matches. It was decided that the 2 day fish off will be held on the canal on the 1st to the 2nd of July Barbeque to be held on the Sunday in the old stand where the prize given sermon will take place members can give give better half's to the evening session

Agreement made on behaviour at the bank of the canal prior to start of the match no cars will be allowed past the the first peg

Social Events

Texas Hold'em Poker night is on the 4th of December in the Old Stand Mullingar All are welcome

Club has been asked to help the children of St. Bridget' school with an introduction to fishing and techniques. 3 club members will attend the school on Friday 15th of June

Club clothing with the new club crest are now available for purchase from the Vice Chairman. The price is 50 euros per set, set includes 1x hat, 1x Pole shirt and 1x hoodie type sweat suit
